This loco was supplied new to the Department of the Environment establishment which shared the 2’6” trackage of the Royal Naval Armaments Depot (R.N.A.D.) at Broughton Moor, Cumbria. After this depot closed, it was bought by a contractor, Hocking, who stored the loco at Threlkeld Quarry near Keswick, moving around 26/6/1992. The loco was moved to Hocking’s yard near Cardiff between 7/6/1994 and 15/4/1995. The loco was finally preserved at the Chasewater Railway on 17/7/2002. It has been re-gauged from 2’6” to 2’0” whilst at Chasewater. The loco arrived at Apedale on 29/8/2008
