This loco is 1 of Ruston’s later designs, type LBT. It was new to Manchester corporation, later North West Water Authority at Tintwistle in the Pennines to the East of Manchester. After the tramway closed, the loco was stored for many years until moving to the Derbyshire Caving Club at Alderley Edge. It was acquired by the MRT during 2008.
